Thinking of Media in H.E. ?

Seven steps to take

1. Try out the links here to different courses and info about them
2. Go through the UCAS site systematically to find which courses you might be interested in- practical ? theory ? medium specific (e.g. film or videogames)
3. Check out your predicted grades- probably the same as your AS grades and see whether it looks as if you will be qualified for the courses to which you want to apply
4. start a personal statement and get your tutor to help improve it. Avoid the obvious cliches
5. Visit the places you want to go to and talk to students about what they think of the courses and facilities
6. Put together your DVD portfolio of your projects
7. Possibly try to get some work experience- local radio is often a good starting place!
